Good and Bad Philosophy

Many people are put off by the word 'Philosophy', fearing that it implies a dry as dust rummage through the weird thinking of intellectuals with too much time on their hands. Yet it doesn't have to be like this. Indeed, it should be. Real Philosophy, as opposed to pedantry and sophistry is a highly personalised search for truth and meaning. In this short lecture we explore the outlines of what Philosophy should be and how the modern world betrays even the meaning of the word: 'Love of wisdom'.
