Revolution in Evolution 1: Genetics

Charles Darwin's published his theory of Evolution in his 1859 book On the Origin of Species. Today it is treated as holy writ and accepted by most scientists as the truth but is it? There always were serious holes in the theory, some of which Darwin himself acknowledged. Nearly two hundred years after it was formulated and science itself has moved on. There is much that we now know about genetics, the DNA code and the sheer complexity of life that throws serious doubt on the premise that all life arose for simple beginnings and 'evolved' by incremental, chance mutations. In this lecture we begin a three part series that investigates Darwin's theory and how it became a substitute for faith in God at a time when modernism was thought to have disproved all notion of a divine origin for life.
