Secret Doctrine of the Logos
The biggest secrets are usually under our noses. In the case of Christianity, the core teaching is the Logos Doctrine yet this is seldom even mentioned. The clearest account is by St John the Evangelist in his Gospel. John was the most highly initiated of Jesus' disciples. He was also the only one to live to old age (about 90) and to die from natural causes. In his Gospel he lays out the Logos Doctrine in fairly clear terms. However, because it is nnever explained, it remains a mystery. This subject has huge implications for our understanding of not just the role of Jesus himself but for the entire purpose of life on earth. As always, the meaning is all in the words: or as the Greeks would say, 'logoi'.
