Sovereignty, what is it?
Sovereignty is a word that is thrown around a lot these days: surrendering sovereignty, shared sovereignty, lack of sovereignty, what does it all mean? In this video, we take an historical look at the origins of the concept, with special reference to European history. We also see how this long history led to crises at the time of Napoleon, the two world wars and, more recently, the development of the European Union.
